In the summer of 2019, Gullimex approached property owner Wim Geul to look into climate control. The solution: Roofclix. Gullimex consists of two office buildings on Oostermaat. The temperature on the flat roofs can reach 81 ºC on sunny days, which often made it impossible to work on the top floor.

The job was certainly a challenge. Both office buildings cover approximately 900 m2. It was not possible to immediately start installing the Roofclix tile, because more than 74 tons of gravel had to be extracted first. Subsequently, a new white top layer was created.

After laying the Roofclix tile, the work was not done. There are also no fewer than 189 solar panels on the roof. These panels are good for about 55,000 kWh per year.
